The state of Minnesota’s Department of Health oversees the Division of Medical Cannabis. You must be diagnosed with a qualifying medical condition to be eligible for the program. Follow these steps to get certified and registered before you shop with us at RISE:

If you are a veteran, you can self-certify here with the state for free. You do not need a physician to certify you.
Physician Certification Process
Schedule a Consultation Appointment with your primary care physician or other qualified healthcare provider.
Complete the Certification: During your consultation, your physician will evaluate your eligibility and complete the necessary certification.

Wait for your approval email: Once you have your certification, you will receive a confirmation via email to register in the Patient Portal registry;

How to Renew Your Medical Cannabis Certification
Patients registered in Minnesota's Medical Cannabis Program must re-enroll every 3 years if they want to continue participating in the program. The Medical Cannabis Program will send you reminder emails 60 days and 30 days before your enrollment expires. You can also check your Registry account for the expiration date. If your account expires, you will no longer be enrolled in the program and will not be allowed to pick up medical cannabis. Follow the steps below to renew your certification:

5. Complete the renewal application.
