Taking its name after co-founder Scott Campbell's grandmother Be Boe, the company's roots are in a period of personal family hardship and the kind deeds of a devoted matriarch. Be Boe was there to support Scott's mother and the family during her cancer battle. During her trips, she prepared two batches of brownies—one for the kids and another, kept under lock and key, for her daughter—among her many deeds of love. 

After swiftly eating their portion, Scott and his siblings were always curious about the special batch kept for their mother. It wasn't until years later that they realized these weren't ordinary snacks; they were infused with cannabis, which helped to reduce the nausea and loss of appetite caused by their mother's ailment. Scott was struck by the idea of his petite, 85-year-old grandmother secretly getting cannabis to help her daughter, filled with a new found appreciation and love for the woman.

Driven by the memory of his grandmother’s clandestine efforts to provide comfort and her undeniable warmth, Scott Campbell, alongside Clement Kwan, launched Beboe. Scott Campbell and Clement Kwan founded Beboe, inspired by their grandmother's comforting presence and warmth.Their objective was to provide a refined and sophisticated cannabis experience while respecting Be Boe's tradition of care and empathy. ⁤⁤Scott, a famous tattoo artist with a talent for fine arts, and Clement, a seasoned executive in the fashion and IT industries, both combined each of their perspectives and shared enthusiasm for cannabis growing, elevated Beboe into a symbol of luxury and care in the cannabis industry.
